The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood - Ice Nine Kills (2021)
Sesto album per la band di Boston, Massachusetts, come dice il titolo una sorta di sequel del precedente The Silver Scream (2018). Un disco ispirato ai film horror, così come i video che hanno fatto da apripista, pubblicati a scansione mensile, un concept con una storia, naturalmente horror. Il genere degli INK è un metalcore che definirei teatrale, fortemente influenzato dal metal classico, e parimenti dal death metal e dal metal sinfonico, tanto che spesso mi ricordano i My Chemical Romance, così come i Papa Roach, ma con passaggi molti più duri. Vari ospiti, di un certo livello, su questo disco: Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach, ovviamente), George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Brandon Saller (Atreyu), Ryan Kirby (Fit for a King), Buddy Nielsen (Senses Fail). Non esattamente il mio genere preferito, ma c'è di peggio.
Sixth album for the band from Boston, Massachusetts, as the title says, a sort of sequel to the previous The Silver Scream (2018). A record inspired by horror films, as well as the videos that have been the forerunners, published on a monthly basis, a concept with a story, of course horror. The INK genre is a metalcore that I would define theatrical, strongly influenced by classic metal, and equally by death metal and symphonic metal, so much so that they often remind me of My Chemical Romance, as well as Papa Roach, but with much harsher passages. Various guests, of a certain level, on this record: Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach, of course), George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Brandon Saller (Atreyu), Ryan Kirby (Fit for a King), Buddy Nielsen (Senses Fail). Not exactly my favorite genre, but you can find way too worse.
