Empyrean - Fallujah (2022)
Oggi parliamo di questa band proveniente da San Francisco, California, dal nome preso in prestito dalla città irachena, qui al loro quinto album, e passata da innumerevoli cambi di formazione: dal 2007 ad oggi, l'unico membro superstite dalla formazione originale è Scott Carstairs, chitarra e backing vocals. Disco di technical death metal, che mette in mostra grande abilità tecnica dei musicisti, e che non rinuncia mai all'alternanza con parti molto melodiche, progressive e quasi jazzate. Non male, ma forse un poco monotono.
Today we talk about this band from San Francisco, California, named after the Iraqi city, here on their fifth album, and gone through countless line-up changes: from 2007 to today, the only surviving member from the original line-up is Scott Carstairs, guitar and backing vocals. Album of technical death metal, which showcases the great technical skill of the musicians, and which never gives up alternating with very melodic, progressive and almost jazzed parts. Not bad, but perhaps a little monotonous.
