Moltissimi di voi sapranno perfettamente che questa bella signora di 70 anni è stata la bassista dei Sonic Youth: in un modo o in un altro, le siamo tutti debitori, la ammiriamo, la rispettiamo. Questo suo secondo disco solista è stato ben accolto da buona parte della critica, ma non da tutta. Io non sono la critica, ma sto con il secondo gruppo. Per quanto possa apprezzare l'intento di una musicista di una certa età che si confronta con la trap (una trap tendente all'industrial, ma sempre trap), i risultati non mi paiono così interessanti. Qualche buono spunto c'è, ma credo si possa fare di meglio. Insomma, non mi è piaciuto, e l'ho trovato a tratti imbarazzante. Detto col massimo rispetto per l'artista.

Many of you will know perfectly well that this beautiful 70 year old lady was the bassist of Sonic Youth: in one way or another, we are all indebted to her, we admire her, we respect her. This second solo album was well received by most critics, but not by all of them. I'm not a critic, but I'm with the second group. As much as I can appreciate the intent of a musician of a certain age who deals with trap (a trap tending towards industrial, but still trap), the results don't seem so interesting to me. There are some good ideas, but I think we can do better. In short, I didn't like it, and I found it embarrassing at times. Said with the utmost respect for the artist.
