I Darkest Hour sono di Washington D.C. e si sono formati nell'ormai lontano 1995. Sono arrivati al decimo album, anche loro con molti cambi di formazione, conservando un nucleo di superstiti nella coppia John Henry alla voce e Mike Schleibaum alla chitarra. Influenzati, detto da loro stessi, dal death metal svedese, per loro ho letto la simpatica definizione di melodeath: l'ho trovata più che appropriata. Disco piacevolmente pesante e melodico al tempo stesso, soddisferà gli amanti del genere, e magari anche altri.
Darkest Hour is from Washington D.C. and they were formed way back in 1995. They reached their tenth album, also them with many lineup changes, maintaining a nucleus of survivors in the couple John Henry on vocals and Mike Schleibaum on guitar. Influenced, told by themselves, by Swedish death metal, I read the nice definition of melodeath for them: I found it more than appropriate. A pleasantly heavy and melodic album at the same time, it will satisfy lovers of the genre, and perhaps others too.
