Suffer in Heaven - Chelsea Grin (2023)
Il settimo album in studio per la band nata a Salt Lake City, Utah, è il proseguimento, o il gemello eterozigote del precedente Suffer In Hell, uscito non troppi mesi fa, verso la fine del 2022. Anche i Chelsea Grin, mi dispiace ripeterlo ma soprattutto per la loro "vicinanza" ai Lorna Shore, sono una delle band di questo genere che amo maggiormente. E quindi, ascoltare in cuffia a volumi da denuncia (verso di me da parte dei miei orecchi) i 26 minuti e 45 secondi, e le otto tracce di questo Suffer in Heaven, mi dà grandi soddisfazioni, e non solo perché copre le fastidiosissime vocine dei bambini che giocano in acqua mentre sto prendendo il sole, ma soprattutto perché è un disco di una potenza spaventosa, ma dannatamente controllata.
The seventh studio album for the band born in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the continuation, or the heterozygous twin of the previous Suffer In Hell, released not too many months ago, towards the end of 2022. Also Chelsea Grin, sorry to repeat it but above all for their "proximity" to Lorna Shore, they are one of the bands of this genre that I love the most. And therefore, listening through headphones at hurtful volumes (my ears could sue me) the 26 minutes and 45 seconds, and the eight tracks of this Suffer in Heaven, gives me great satisfaction, and not only because it drowns out the annoying little voices of the children playing in the water while I'm sunbathing, but above all because it's a record of scary but damned controlled power.
