Antidawn - Burial (2022)

Ennesimo EP per William Emmanuel Bevan da South London. Musicista sfuggente e al tempo stesso, ancora oggi osannato soprattutto per il suo secondo (e ultimo, al momento) album Untrue del 2007, uno dei grandi personaggi della musica elettronica, uno di quelli per cui, oltre ad etichette fumose (per noi rocker) ma già sentite (come dubstep, downtempo, ambient), è stata usata quella di hauntology, un qualcosa che va al di là della musica stessa (divertitevi a leggere la descrizione nel link). Questo EP, composto da 5, lunghe tracce, dalla durata di oltre 43 minuti, è in effetti una sorta di strano viaggio cerebrale, e ci ricorda che Burial è, certamente, unico.

Yet another EP for William Emmanuel Bevan from South London. Elusive musician and at the same time, still praised today especially for his second (and last, at the moment) album Untrue in 2007, one of the great characters of electronic music, one of those for whom, in addition to smoky labels (for us rockers) but already heard (like dubstep, downtempo, ambient), hauntology has been used, something that goes beyond the music itself (have fun reading the description in the link). This EP, made up of 5, long tracks, lasting over 43 minutes, is actually a kind of weird brain journey, and reminds us that Burial is, of course, unique.
