Gods of Tomorrow - Victory (2021)

Due parole sul nuovo album dei tedeschi Victory, band che si formò nel 1984 ad Hannover, scioltasi nel 1996, e poi riformatasi tra il 2002 ed il 2003. Nonostante la band non veda più nessun membro originale nella propria formazione, il pilastro è il chitarrista Herman Frank (già con Accept, Hazzard, Sinner ed altri), ultra sessantenne, entrato a far parte della band all'epoca del loro secondo album. L'età media della band, come si può intuire anche dalle foto, non è delle più giovani, ma devo confessare che l'ascolto non è pesante, al contario. Il genere è un hard rock che si colloca tra i migliori Whitesnake e qualcosa degli AC/DC, senza dimenticare gli Scorpions. Grandi riff, belle melodie, composizione diligente e canzoni tutte orecchiabili, senza essere di cattivo gusto. Sorprendenti.

The genre is a hard rock that ranks among the best Whitesnake and something of AC/DC, without forgetting the Scorpions. Great riffs, beautiful melodies, diligent composition and all catchy songs, without being tacky. Surprising.
