Live at Montreux Jazz Festival - Anna Von Hausswolff (2022)
Di recente (in occasione del suo concerto a Bologna, nella Basilica di Santa Maria dei Servi, nel tour dove eseguiva il suo All Thoughts Fly, tutto strumentale, tutto con l'organo "da chiesa") mi sono "scontrato" con amici che sottolineavano l'assenza di vere note in quella esecuzione. Inutile sottolineare che quel disco e quel tour erano una sorta di esperimento, ma qua sta il confine tra la musica tutto sommato inquadrabile, e quella che ama il rischio (ed il conseguente "o si ama o si odia"). Questo live, che come dice il nome riporta l'esibizione al famoso festival svizzero nel 2018, in apertura a Nick Cave, è formato invece da tracce presenti in The Miraculous del 2015 e Dead Magic del 2018, e prova a regalare l'ebbrezza che inducono i live della piccola ma agguerrita svedese. Recently (on the occasion of her concert in Bologna, in the Basilica of Santa Maria dei Servi, on the tour where she performed his All Thoughts Fly, all instrumental, all with the "church" organ) I "clashed" with friends who they emphasized the absence of real notes in that performance. It goes without saying that that record and that tour were a sort of experiment, but here lies the boundary between music that can be framed after all, and that which loves risk (and the consequent "either you love it or you hate it"). This live, which as the name implies, brings back the performance at the famous Swiss festival in 2018, opening to Nick Cave, is instead made up of tracks present in The Miraculous of 2015 and Dead Magic of 2018, and tries to give the thrill that induce the lives of the small but fierce Swedish.
