Come ormai capita da qualche anno, cominciamo l'anno nuovo con qualche "recupero", meglio detto, con dischi validi che ho scoperto tardi (questo precisamente con la top ten dell'amico LGC). Quinto album (in 24 anni di attività) per questa band svizzera, con il nome che, da qualche ricerca, sembra essere in lingua ceca (e significa qualcosa tipo "sanguinoso"), mai ascoltati prima di questo, ma vi posso dire che questo disco è molto molto bello. Potente, uno stile sludge/post metal che spesso richiama, oltre ai classici Neurosis, perfino i basilari Melvins, e tutto un altro ventaglio di influenze interessanti, che ne fanno una band veramente massiccia e muscolare. Grande album.
As has been happening for a few years now, we're kicking off the new year with some "catch-up," or better yet, some solid albums I've been discovering late (this time specifically, with my friend LGC's Top Ten). This is the fifth album (in 24 years of activity) for this Swiss band, whose name, from some research, appears to be Czech (and means something like "for blood"), and I've never heard them before, but I can tell you this album is really, really good. Powerful, with a sludge/post-metal style that often recalls, in addition to classics like Neurosis, even the seminal Melvins, and a whole other range of interesting influences, making them a truly massive and muscular band. A great album.
