Impressionante secondo album per il due norvegese degli Hymn, quattro tracce per 38 minuti complessivi, di un avvolgente sludge / doom metal che, a dispetto del fatto che appunto, ci siano soli due componenti (Ole Ulvik Rokseth chitarra e voce, Markus Støle batteria), risulta decisamente stratificato, denso, compatto ed evocativo. Strati, appunto, di chitarre taglienti e venate di oscurità, e uno stile batteristico dinamico, martellante, a tratti tribale. Voce altrettanto tagliente, un urlo potente ma adeguato. Una potenza di fuoco inaspettata.

Impressive sophomore album for the Norwegian duo Hymn, four tracks for a total of 38 minutes, of an enveloping sludge / doom metal which, despite the fact that there are only two components (Ole Ulvik Rokseth guitar and vocals, Markus Støle drums), is decidedly layered, dense, compact and evocative. Layers, in fact, of edgy guitars tinged with darkness, and a dynamic, pounding, at times tribal drumming style. Voice just as sharp, a powerful but adequate scream. Unexpected firepower.
