Weather Alive - Beth Orton (2022)
Il talento spesso è come il vino, invecchia bene. Beth Orton oggi ha quasi 52 anni, e qualcuno che pensa di non conoscerla invece l'ha sicuramente sentita su Alive Alone, nel debutto del 1995 dei Chemical Brothers (band con la quale collaborerà ancora). Se ai suoi esordi era maggiormente influenzata dall'elettronica, tanto da essere annoverata come una pioniera della folktronica, oggi è "semplicemente" una cantautrice raffinatissima, dalla spiccata personalità, che riesce a scrivere canzoni molto belle e a cantarli con una voce che definire emozionante è perfino riduttivo. Non mi ha sorpreso, ma nel caso non abbiate mai approfondito, fatelo.
