War Against All - Immortal (2023)
Il decimo album dei norvegesi, è il primo con la formazione composta solamente da Harald Nævdal, meglio conosciuto come Demonaz Doom Occulta, per gli amici semplicemente Demonaz. Oltre a scrivere musiche e liriche, canta e suona la chitarra. Coadiuvato in studio da Arve Isdal aka Ice Dale degli Enslaved, al basso, chitarre addizionali, produzione e registrazione, e dal batterista Kevin Kvåle, Demonaz riporta gli Immortal al black metal (quasi) degli esordi, con maggiore padronanza tecnica e un songwriting convincente. Un disco solidissimo, grezzo, che ricorda il fatto che pure gli Immortal sono stati seminali per questo genere musicale.
The tenth album by the Norwegians, it is the first with the lineup composed only by Harald Nævdal, better known as Demonaz Doom Occulta, for friends simply Demonaz. Besides writing music and lyrics, he sings and plays the guitar. Supported in the studio by Arve Isdal aka Ice Dale of Enslaved, on bass, additional guitars, production and recording, and drummer Kevin Kvåle, Demonaz brings Immortal (almost) back to the black metal of the beginning, with greater technical mastery and a convincing songwriting. A very solid, rough record, which recalls the fact that even Immortal have been seminal for this musical genre.
