Violoncellista originaria di Londra, Jo Quail ha alle spalle collaborazioni prestigiose, con artisti e band alternative, di generi diversi, e un'attività solista (questo è il suo sesto album). Inizia quasi per caso a suonare il violoncello a sei anni, si laurea, e fonda una band (i SonVer) intorno al 2000, fino al 2010, quando inizia la sua carriera solista, ed inizia quasi contemporaneamente ad usare una loop station per esibirsi dal vivo. Presenza timida e magnetica, suona un violoncello realizzato appositamente per lei, e si autoproduce da sempre gli album. Trovo questo album estremamente interessante, sperimentale, ipnotico, coinvolgente, sorprendente. Non esitate.

A cellist originally from London, Jo Quail has a history of prestigious collaborations with alternative artists and bands of various genres, as well as a solo career (this is her sixth album). She began playing the cello almost by accident at the age of six, graduated, and founded a band (SonVer) around 2000. This continued until 2010, when she launched her solo career, and almost simultaneously began using a loop station for live performances. A shy and magnetic presence, she plays a cello custom-made for her and has always self-produced her albums. I find this album extremely interesting, experimental, hypnotic, engaging, and surprising.
