Dovrebbero essere diciassette, gli album della band francese, con questo. Quale che sia il conteggio esatto, siamo ancora una volta di fronte ad un lavoro complesso, e di un genere quantomeno ibrido, certamente il black metal della band di Mondeville, Calvados, non è prevedibile o monocorde. In questo album, si possono ritrovare influenze dei Tool così come dei Cure, e se in alcuni momenti possono ricordarci i connazionali Alcest, in altri non posso fare a meno di non pensare ai Celtic Frost. Insomma, un ennesimo viaggio, a tratti psichedelico, ipnotico, nei meandri del metal estremo, con i Blut Aus Nord che ci accompagnano passo dopo passo.
This album should bring the French band's total to seventeen. Whatever the exact count, we're once again faced with a complex work, and a genre that's at least hybrid; certainly, the black metal from the band of Mondeville, Calvados, isn't predictable or monotonous. Influences from Tool and The Cure can be found on this album, and while at times it reminds us of their compatriots Alcest, at others I can't help but think of Celtic Frost. In short, yet another journey, at times psychedelic, hypnotic, into the depths of extreme metal, with Blut Aus Nord accompanying us every step of the way.
