Music From Before the Storm - Daughter (2017)
Album molto bello questo, a dispetto del fatto che sia considerato "semplicemente" una colonna sonora (del video gioco Life Is Strange: Before the Storm), della band europea Daughter, formata da Elena Tonra (voce, chitarre, piano, basso), inglese, Igor Haefeli (chitarre, basso, tastiere, programming), svizzero, e Remi Haguilella (batteria, percussioni, sampling), francese, al momento in iato (Elena Tonra si è dedicata ad un progetto solista, del quale parlaremo). Lo shoegaze assume toni eterei alla massima potenza, estremamente rarefatto e quasi futuristico. La rarità dei testi e del cantato viene riempito da echi, cori, soluzioni che aumentano la sensazione di trovarsi in un altra dimensione.
This is a very nice album, despite the fact that it is considered "simply" a soundtrack (of the video game Life Is Strange: Before the Storm), by the European band Daughter, formed by Elena Tonra (vocals, guitars, piano, bass), English, Igor Haefeli (guitars, bass, keyboards, programming), Swiss, and Remi Haguilella (drums, percussion, sampling), French, currently in hiatus (Elena Tonra has dedicated herself to a solo project, which we will talk about). The shoegaze takes on ethereal tones at maximum power, extremely rarefied and almost futuristic. The rarity of the lyrics and the singing is filled with echoes, choirs, solutions that increase the feeling of being in another dimension.
