Regicide - Panopticon (2019)

Da non confondere con l'omonima band del Kentucky, questi Panopticon sono una one-man band colombiana di Bogotà, formata da Juan Diego Quintero aka Cartridge, e sono qui al secondo lavoro, un qualcosa a metà tra un album ed un EP, dopo il debutto del 2009 con l'EP Incendiary. Un metal che sta in mezzo al gothic, al doom e al black, con tocchi di elettronica. Non male, anche perché mi pare di intravedere buona personalità, e voglia di uscire dagli schemi (oltre a qualche ingenuità).

Not to be confused with the homonymous band from Kentucky, these Panopticon are a Colombian one-man band from Bogotà, formed by Juan Diego Quintero aka Cartridge, and are here on their second job, something between an album and an EP, after the 2009 debut with the EP Incendiary. A metal that is in the middle of gothic, doom and black, with touches of electronics. Not bad, also because I seem to glimpse a good personality, and a desire to break the mold (as well as some naivety).
