Non è facilissimo reperire informazioni su Shamir Bailey, ma vi posso dire che è 25enne, con vari album alle spalle, di Las Vegas, Nevada, cresciuto come musulmano, nero, non-binary / queer, e che pare sia rimasto senza etichetta qualche tempo fa; nel 2020 ha fatto uscire questo album, 11 tracce per meno di 30 minuti di musica, molto interessante. Perché lo stile è indefinibile, c'è dell' alt rock, del pop, quella voce in falsetto che potrebbe ricordare i grandi della black music in alcuni frangenti, e un'ottima mano per comporre. Non ricordo neppure come ne sono venuto a conoscenza, ma mi pare un'artista da segnalare.
