Album di debutto per Marie-Pierra Kakoma, 25 anni, nata nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo da madre ruandese e padre congolese, entrambi prominenti medici (la madre è stata imprigionata durante la seconda guerra congolese nel 1998, il padre dopo essere riuscito a farla rilasciare ha trasferito la famiglia in Belgio, ha provato a tornare in Congo e poi in Ruanda, ma alla fine hanno deciso di rimanere in Belgio, a Bruxelles). Introdotta alla musica classica dal padre fin dalla tenera età, ha cominciato fin da piccola a scrivere musica; curiosamente, la sua passione le ha fatto rompere i rapporti con la famiglia, tanto che ha vissuto da senza tetto per un periodo. Dopo essere stata scoperta musicalmente, ed aver pubblicato le prime cose, è stata ingaggiata anche come modella. Ha collaborato anche con artisti italiani (Sfera, Gaia con la quale ha duettato a Sanremo, Tha Supreme e Mara Sattei). Il disco è sinuoso e vellutato, il genere è un RNB che flirta con la trap e con l'hip hop, e la voce della ragazza è pari alla sua bellezza; il flow mi sembra molto buono, delicato, non aggressivo, ma efficace.

Debut album for Marie-Pierra Kakoma, 25, born in the Democratic Republic of Congo to a Rwandan mother and Congolese father, both prominent doctors (her mother was imprisoned during the second Congolese war in 1998, her father after managing to have her released moved his family to Belgium, tried to return to Congo and then to Rwanda, but in the end they decided to stay in Belgium, in Brussels). She was introduced to classical music by her father from an early age, she started writing music from an early age; curiously, her passion for the music caused her to break off relations with her family, so much so that she lived homeless for a while. After being discovered musically, and having published the first things, she was also hired as a model. She also collaborated with Italian artists (Sfera, Gaia with whom she duetted in Sanremo, Tha Supreme and Mara Sattei). The record is sinuous and velvety, the genre is an RNB flirting with trap and hip hop, and the girl's voice is equal to her beauty; the flow seems very good to me, delicate, not aggressive, but effective.
