As the Moon Rests - A.A. Williams (2022)
Dell'inglese A.A. Williams vi ho parlato già più volte, recensendo due suoi EP, due album e un live, un po' per scusarmi (prima di tutto con me stesso) per averla persa qualche anno fa, quando aprì, all'Alcatraz di Milano, per i Cult of Luna (e i Brutus), ma del resto, come sanno benissimo gli amici milanesi che erano con me, quello era "il miglior kepab di Milano". Scherzi a parte, ho avuto l'impressione che proprio il tour con i Cult of Luna abbia fortemente influenzato questo, che possiamo considerare il suo terzo album, mettendo nel conto anche Songs From Isolation, seppur album di cover. Anche dal vivo, il suono è potentissimo e massiccio, ed è un vero piacere, per chi come me ha bisogno della sua dose quotidiana di chitarra distorta, ascoltarlo. C'è poi la voce e la ricerca melodica, che rendono queste undici tracce davvero degne di nota. Un'artista che sta trovando la sua strada nel migliore dei modi.

Williams I have already spoken to you several times, reviewing two of his EPs, two albums and a live, a bit to apologize (first of all with myself) for having lost her gig a few years ago, when it opened, at Alcatraz in Milan, for Cult of Luna (and Brutus), but after all, as my friends from Milan who were with me know very well, that was "the best kepab in Milan". Seriously, I had the impression that the tour with Cult of Luna has strongly influenced this one, which we can consider his third album, also taking into account Songs From Isolation, albeit an album of covers. Even live, the sound is very powerful and massive, and it's a real pleasure for someone like me who needs his daily dose of distorted guitar to listen to him. Then there is the voice and the melodic research, which make these eleven tracks truly noteworthy. An artist who is finding her way in the best way.
