Perpetual Chaos - Nervosa (2021)
Le curiosità su questa band, formata nel 2010 a San Paolo, Brasile, sono varie. Formazione sempre tutta al femminile, molti cambi dai loro inizi, e addirittura, adesso, la band è praticamente internazionale: l'unica superstite della formazione originale Prika Amaral (chitarra) è brasiliana, mentre le altre tre vengono da tre nazioni diverse. La bassista Mia Wallace è italiana (ma ha varie esperienze internazionali, come Abbath e Triumph of Death), la cantante Diva Satanica è spagnola, la batterista Eleni Nota è originaria nientemeno che dell'isola di Rodi, in Grecia. Detto questo, questo loro quarto album è uno di quelli che sembra un po' provenire dal passato. Siamo di fronte ad un thrash metal ibridato con tematiche death, e totalmente debitore ai capostipiti Slayer. Senza dubbio ben fatto e con capacità tecniche all'altezza, ma piuttosto povero di originalità.
The curiosities about this band, formed in 2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, are varied. Always all female lineup, many changes since their beginnings, and even now the band is practically international: the only survivor of the original lineup Prika Amaral (guitar) is Brazilian, while the other three come from three different countries. Bassist Mia Wallace is Italian (but she has various international experiences, such as Abbath and Triumph of Death), singer Diva Satanica is Spanish, drummer Eleni Nota is originally from none other than the island of Rhodes, Greece. That being said, this fourth album of theirs is one that feels a bit like it's from the past. We are facing a hybrid thrash metal with death themes, and totally indebted to the founders Slayer. Undoubtedly well done and with technical skills to the height, but rather poor in originality.
