Madre - Arca (2021)

EP che è più un singolo con quattro variazioni sul tema della traccia che dà il titolo al disco stesso, uscito in contemporanea (o quasi) con il suo uso nell'episodio speciale della serie TV Euphoria intitolato Fuck Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob, non a caso, a mio modesto parere, tutto dedicato alla figura della protagonista Jules, una adolescente transessuale (do per scontato che chi legge conosca il "percorso" di Arca a livello personale). Nella sua interezza, questo lavoro si avvicina più ad Arca del 2017, che a Kick I del 2020, emozionante e melodrammatico, perfino toccante, anziché dinamico e sincopato; al tempo stesso, meno elettronico e più sinfonico. Sempre estremo, nella sua innata teatralità.

EP which is more a single with four variations on the theme of the track that gives the title to the disc itself, released simultaneously (or almost) with its use in the special episode of the TV series Euphoria entitled Fuck Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob, not by chance, in my humble opinion, all dedicated to the figure of the protagonist Jules, a transsexual teenager (I assume that the reader knows the "path" of Arca on a personal level). In its entirety, this work is closer to Arca of 2017, than to Kick I of 2020, exciting and melodramatic, even touching, rather than dynamic and syncopated; at the same time, less electronic and more symphonic. Always extreme, in its innate theatricality.
