Magic Mirror è il terzo album per la 29enne cantautrice di Los Angeles, California, che ha mosso i suoi primi passi nel mondo della musica con un duo country (Driftwood Singers), poi con una garage rock band (Blank Tapes) come batterista. Dal 2012 si è "messa in proprio", ed ha adottato un genere davvero di nicchia, che viene definito cosmic country: ci sono elementi naturalmente di americana, come pure di psychedelic rock anni '60/'70. Canzoni delicatissime per una voce leggiadra, tonalità alte usare senza mai esagerare, un insieme abbastanza gioioso e romantico. L'apertura di Only for Tonight sembra un inedito degli ABBA dei bei tempi. Curioso.
Magic Mirror is the third album by the 29-year-old singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, who took her first steps in the world of music with a country duo (Driftwood Singers), then with a garage rock band (Blank Tapes) as a drummer. Since 2012 she has "started her own business", and has adopted a truly niche genre, which is defined cosmic country: there are naturally elements of Americana, as well as 60s / 70s psychedelic rock. Delicate songs for a graceful voice, high tones to use without ever exaggerating, a rather joyful and romantic whole. The opening of Only for Tonight seems like an unreleased ABBA from the good old days. Curious.
