Ikigai - Abiotic (2021)
Terzo album per la band di Miami, Florida, il primo dopo lo scioglimento avvenuto nel 2016 per problemi economici, e la riunione avvenuta nel 2018. Nuova sezione ritmica (una piccola curiosità che mi colpisce sempre: guardando i cognomi dei membri attuali e di quelli precedenti, il 90% viene da famiglie di immigrati) per un altro buon disco di death metal tecnico con sfumature deathcore e tendenza alle strutture progressive, impatto robustissimo ma sfumature varie, uso di intervalli melodici, continui cambi di tempo ed elementi "horror" in alcuni passaggi vocali.
Third album for the band from Miami, Florida, the first after the disbanding which took place in 2016 due to economic problems, and the reunion which took place in 2018. New rhythm section (a little curiosity that always strikes me: looking at the surnames of the current members and those previous, 90% come from immigrant families) for another good record of technical death metal with deathcore overtones and a tendency towards progressive structures, very robust impact but various shades, use of melodic intervals, continuous tempo changes and "horror" elements in some vocal passages.
