Raise the Roof - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss (2021)
Dopo l'ottimo Raising Sand del 2007, Robert Anthony Plant e Alison Maria Krauss tornano con un altro album collaborativo. Quattordici canzoni, nell'edizione deluxe, per un'ora abbondante di musica tendente al genere americana, intrisa sia di bluegrass, country, world music e perché no, tracce di rock disseminate qua e là da LA voce per eccellenza (senza nulla togliere alla Krauss, istituzione statunitense nel suo genere), un settantreenne nei cuori di tutti noi rocker. C'è pochissimo da commentare, perché naturalmente non possiamo aspettarci, da un disco come questo, eclatanti novità nel campo musicale, solo belle canzoni, con un tocco malinconico, da falò o da filmati vintage. Bravi.
After the excellent 2007 Raising Sand, Robert Anthony Plant and Alison Maria Krauss are back with another collaborative album. Fourteen songs, in the deluxe edition, for an abundant hour of music tending to the Americana genre, steeped in both bluegrass, country, world music and why not, rock traces scattered here and there by THE voice par excellence (without detracting from Krauss, US institution of its genre), a seventy-three year old in the hearts of all of us rockers. There is very little to comment, because of course we cannot expect, from a record like this, sensational news in the music field, just good songs, with a melancholy touch, from bonfires or from vintage shoots. Well done.
