Everything - Blankenberge (2021)

Il terzo album della band russa esce di domenica (14 novembre), anziché di venerdì come è ormai tradizione negli ultimi tempi, e ci ricorda che la loro esistenza, nel panorama musicale, è solida, anche se la loro musica rimane onirica. A due anni di distanza dal precedente More, questo Everything è un altro album fatto per perdercisi dentro, e lasciarsi cullare da melodie eteree e droni di chitarre, mentre la voce di Yana Guselnikova serve da luce guida, una luce soffusa ed affogata in mezzo ad una cascata di shoegaze metallico, un po' ovattato e travolgente. Se gli anni '70 del secolo scorso avevano la psichedelia, gli anni '20 di quello in corso usano lo shoegaze combinato col dream pop, per perdersi tra le note.

The third album of the Russian band comes out on Sunday (November 14), instead of Friday as is now tradition in recent times, and reminds us that their existence, in the music scene, is solid, even if their music remains dreamlike. Two years after the previous More, this Everything is another album made to get lost in it, and let oneself be lulled by ethereal melodies and guitar drones, while the voice of Yana Guselnikova serves as a guiding light, a soft and drowned light in the middle of a cascade of metallic shoegaze, a little muffled and overwhelming. If the 70s of the last century had psychedelia, the 20s of the current one use shoegaze combined with dream pop, to get lost in the notes.
