Ottavo album in studio per la band finlandese, a due anni dal precedente When a Shadow Is Forced Into the Light. Delizia per i fan la versione deluxe che vede tutte le otto tracce componenti il disco in versione "classica": versioni strumentali ridotte delle canzoni, eseguite con la formazione d'archi TRIO NOX, registrate presso la Chiesa Medievale di Sipoo, in Finlandia. Un gran bel disco, di recente sono riuscito ad ascoltare tutta la loro discografia, e la band finlandese è sinonimo di eleganza metal: il doom, il death, il goth, le melodie quasi sinfoniche, qua c'è un discreto uso dell'orchestra, un buon bilanciamento tra cantato in growl e pulito, ma soprattutto, un senso di inquietudine poetico, la bellezza del dolore, concentrata, com grande maturità, in queste otto tracce.

Eighth studio album for the Finnish band, two years after the previous When a Shadow Is Forced Into the Light. A delight for fans is the deluxe version which sees all eight tracks making up the disc in a "classic" version: reduced instrumental versions of the songs, performed with the string formation TRIO NOX, recorded at the Medieval Church of Sipoo, Finland. A great record, recently I managed to listen to all their discography, and the Finnish band is synonymous with metal elegance: doom, death, goth, almost symphonic melodies, here there is a fair use of the orchestra , a good balance between sung in growl and clean, but above all, a sense of poetic restlessness, the beauty of pain, concentrated, with great maturity, in these eight tracks.
