Eccoci finalmente al secondo album della band formata a San Diego, California, e "capitanata" da Connie Sgarbossa. Confesso che, insieme a Knocked Loose e Code Orange, ognuno nella loro nicchia, sono tra le band giovani che ritengo più interessanti e verso le quali sento una curiosità e una sorta di affetto che potrebbe rendermi parziale nei giudizi, ma anche questo disco è travolgente, molto orecchiabile, divertente e potente al tempo stesso. Potremmo perfino definirlo commerciale, se non sapessimo molto bene che, come già detto in molte occasioni precedenti, esiste ancora una fetta molto grande di ascoltatori musicali (giovani e meno giovani) che non riesce ad ascoltare il cantato scream/growl, o strutture derivative dall'hardcore; ma escludendo questa fetta, lo stile degli SYSC è decisamente accattivante, e questo disco lo dimostra in pieno, riaffermando una maturità sorprendente per una band solo al secondo album.

Here we are finally at the second album of the band formed in San Diego, California, and leaded by Connie Sgarbossa. I confess that, together with Knocked Loose and Code Orange, each in their niche, they are among the young bands that I find most interesting and towards which I feel a curiosity and a sort of affection that could make me partial in the judgments, but this record is also overwhelming , very catchy, fun and powerful at the same time. We could even call it commercial, if we didn't know very well that, as already mentioned on many previous occasions, there is still a very large slice of music listeners (young and old) who cannot hear the scream / growl singing, or structures derived from hardcore; but excluding this slice, the style of SYSC is definitely captivating, and this record fully demonstrates it, reaffirming a surprising maturity for a band only on their second album.
