Oh What the Future Holds - Fit for an Autopsy (2022)
Un'altra segnalazione mi arriva a proposito del nuovo e sesto album per la band del New Jersey, e per chi pensa che i film sul New Jersey e sul fatto che sia pieno di famiglie di origine italiana, si legga i cognomi dei membri della band (Putney, Sheridan e Howley si, ma pure Spinazola, Orta e Badolato). Non ve ne avevo mai parlato semplicemente perché non mi era mai capitato di ascoltarli, ma devo dire che non mi è affatto dispiaciuto questo Oh What the Future Holds, un potente pugno un po' dove volete, deathcore ben fatto con spazio alla melodia, ai rallentamenti d'effetto, ma pure, come detto, con tantissima potenza. Soventi richiami anche al classic heavy metal. Il classico disco da suonare in cuffia quando sulla spiaggia dominano gli strilli dei bambini o le chiacchiere insulse da ombrellone, per oscurare il tutto ed astrarsi per un po'.
Another report comes to me about the new and sixth album for the New Jersey band, and for those who think that the films about New Jersey and the fact that it is full of families of Italian origin, read the surnames of the band members (Putney, Sheridan and Howley yes, but also Spinazola, Orta and Badolato). I had never told you about it simply because I had never heard them, but I must say that I don't mind this Oh What the Future Holds at all, a powerful punch a little bit where you want, well done deathcore with space for melody, slowdowns of effect, but also, as mentioned, with a lot of power. Often also references to classic heavy metal. The classic album to play with headphones when the screams of children or the silly umbrella chatter dominate on the beach, to obscure everything and get abstracted for a while.
