Audio Noir - Bossk (2016)

Facciamo un passo indietro di qualche anno, fino a trattare l'album di debutto, e fino ad oggi l'unico (se si escludono EP e split), della band di Ashford, Kent, UK. Le sette tracce di questi 45 minuti sono concepite come un unicum, la band ha dichiarato di volere che l'ascoltatore faccia un viaggio, e che il disco lo accompagni. E' effettivamente un disco "avvolgente", che alterna momenti davvero particolari, come il lungo intermezzo folk di Relancer, a vampate potentissime e melodiche al tempo stesso, come in Heliopause e in Atom Smasher. Sludge e post metal a braccetto, un disco molto interessante, li aspettiamo ancora.

Let's take a step back a few years, to deal with the debut album, and to date the only one (apart from EPs and splits), by the band from Ashford, Kent, UK. The seven tracks of these 45 minutes are conceived as a unicum, the band declared that they want the listener to make a journey, and that the record accompany it. It is actually an "enveloping" record, which alternates very particular moments, like the long folk interlude of Relancer, with very powerful and melodic flashes at the same time, as in Heliopause and Atom Smasher. Sludge and post metal arm in arm, a very interesting record, we are still waiting for them.
