OK Human - Weezer (2021)
Il quattordicesimo album della band di Los Angeles, California, esce quando si annuncia già l'uscita del quindicesimo, che si intitolerà Van Weezer ed uscirà, pare, in maggio. Nessuno nega che i Weezer siano bravissimi e capaci, e quasi 30 anni di carriera danno loro una sorta di permesso per fare cosa vogliono. Stavolta ironizzano su OK Computer dei Radiohead, e compongono dodici tracce, tutte analogiche, di chamber pop che strizza l'occhio alle melodie sinfoniche e ai Beatles. Canzoncine molto carine, la solita ironia, personalmente il disco mi ha stancato presto e l'ho trovato piuttosto inutile: spero di non offendere nessuno.
The fourteenth album by the band from Los Angeles, California, comes out when the fifteenth is already announced, which will be titled Van Weezer and will be released, it seems, in May. Nobody denies that the Weezer are great and capable, and nearly 30 years of career give them some sort of permission to do what they want. This time they make fun of Radiohead's OK Computer, and compose twelve tracks, all analog, of chamber pop that winks at symphonic melodies and the Beatles. Very nice songs, the usual irony, personally the record tired me out soon and I found it rather useless: I hope not to offend anyone.
