Lockdown 2020 - The Circle (2021)
Nel caso non lo sapeste, The Circle è uno dei progetti più recenti di Sammy Hagar e di alcuni suoi amici instancabili: Michael Anthony al basso (Van Halen), Jason Bonham ovviamente alla batteria, Vic Johnson alla chitarra. Diciamo che i The Circle sono una cover band di lusso, anche se il loro secondo disco, Space Between del 2019, era fatto di materiale originale, visto che il debutto At Your Service, live del 2015, e questo Lockdown 2020, sono composti interamente da cover. Cover divertenti, naturalmente ben fatte senza troppo allontanarsi dagli originali ma suonate con entusiasmo e una certa verve, a dispetto dall'età dei componenti. Diciamo che ne parliamo quasi esclusivamente perché è il primo disco che esce nel 2021, da parte di qualche nome rilevante.

Let's say that The Circle is a luxury cover band, even if their second album, Space Between of 2019, was made of original material, as the debut At Your Service, live of 2015, and this Lockdown 2020, are composed entirely from cover. Fun covers, naturally well made without straying too far from the originals but played with enthusiasm and a certain verve, despite the age of the components. Let's say we talk about it almost exclusively because it is the first album to be released in 2021, by some relevant name.
