Gli svedesi sono giunti al quinto album con questo Imperial, dove, se vi ricordate quello che vi dissi in occasione del precedente Lotus, a mio giudizio abbandonano totalmente l'influenza Tool, e si lasciano andare a comporre più liberamente canzoni con un respiro epico e maestoso, ricordando moltissimo però l'altra loro principale influenza, quella dei System of a Down. Come stavo dicendo ad alcuni amici, l'ascolto di questo disco mi provoca una reazione che un po' mi spaventa, ma razionalizzando, non troppo: non riesco a smettere di ascoltarlo, nonostante non ci sia praticamente niente di troppo originale. Davvero, otto tracce di splendida fattura, e una tecnica complessiva di qualità superiore.

The Swedes have reached their fifth album with this Imperial, where, if you remember what I told you on the occasion of the previous Lotus, in my opinion they totally abandon the Tool influence, and let themselves go to more freely composing songs with an epic and majestic breath, but remembering very much their other main influence, that of System of a Down. As I was saying to some friends, listening to this record causes me a reaction that scares me a little, but rationalizing, not too much: I can't stop listening to it, although there is practically nothing too original. Really, eight beautifully crafted tracks, and superior overall technique.
