Isolation Ritual - Harbor Lights (2019)

Band che si autodefinisce post-rock, provenienti dalla North Shore del Massachusetts, dopo 2 EP in split (con Ember Wreath e Superblonde) e l'album di debutto del 2017 Under the Spreading Chestnut Three, nel 2019 è uscito questo Isolation Ritual, che è un gran bel disco, e che definisce le coordinate di un genere che sta dando agli ascoltatori tante soddisfazioni. Attitudine shoegaze, con tappeti di chitarre a "creare l'atmosfera" (come suggeriva la tagline di un noto brandy), la voce che "soffre" (ma rimane pulita) quanto basta, ritmi sostenuti da controtempi e sincopati, tecnica interessante, arpeggi suggestivi ed esplosioni di chitarre distorte a punteggiare 43 minuti e 10 tracce davvero ben costruite.

Shoegaze attitude, with carpets of guitars to "create the atmosphere" (as suggested by the tagline of a well-known Italian brandy years ago), the voice that "suffers" (but remains clean) enough, rhythms sustained by counter-timings and syncopations, interesting technique, suggestive arpeggios and explosions of distorted guitars to punctuate 43 minutes and 10 really well built tracks.
