Necroceros - Asphyx (2021)
Decimo album per la band olandese, attiva dal lontano 1987, ormai senza più nessun membro fondatore nella formazione. Death metal robusto, con passaggi doom e chiare influenze di heavy metal classico, ben fatto ma abbastanza prevedibile. Liriche macabre in linea con il genere, con una bella eccezione, Botox Implosion. Disco onesto e professionale, come si confà ad una band di lungo corso, che però non esce dalla sua comfort zone.
Tenth album for the Dutch band, active since 1987, now without any founding member in the lineup. Robust death metal, with doom passages and clear classic heavy metal influences, well done but quite predictable. Macabre lyrics in line with the genre, with one nice exception, Botox Implosion. Honest and professional record, as befits a long-time band, which however does not leave its comfort zone.
