Dance Fever - Florence + The Machine (2022)
La band inglese arriva al quinto disco, lanciato da un video elegantissimo (regia di Autumn de Wilde) il che dimostra la grande attenzione, da parte loro, all'estetica, e, a livello musicale, conferma la loro attenzione alla fusione del rock orchestrale con il soul, con, se ci fate attenzione, sconfinamenti perfino verso il gospel, aiutati dalla robusta voce di Florence Welch, naturalmente senza mai dimenticare l'orecchiabilità. Il risultato è naturalmente un disco ancora una volta gobidile, ma il tutto non riesce a togliermi l'impressione che ci sia un lavoro "a tavolino" che misuri prima tutti gli ingredienti, e che non ci sia voglia di osare troppo, rischiando qualcosa di più, per arrivare a risultati molto più ambiziosi.
The British band arrives at their fifth album, launched by a very elegant video (directed by Autumn de Wilde) which demonstrates the great attention, on their part, to aesthetics, and, on a musical level, confirms their attention to the fusion of orchestral rock with Soul, with, if you pay attention, even trespassing towards the Gospel, aided by the robust voice of Florence Welch, of course without ever forgetting the catchiness. The result is, of course, once again a gobidile record, but all this fails to take away the impression that there is a "desk" job that measures all the ingredients first, and that there is no desire to dare too much, risking something more, to arrive at much more ambitious results.
