Diciamo che è il decimo album per Kevin Andrew Johansen, nato a Fairbanks, Alaska, USA, includendo i dischi dal vivo (un paio), che canta indistintamente in inglese e in castigliano (con innegabile accento argentino, del resto sua madre lo è, e a Buenos Aires ha vissuto prima ad intermittenza dai 12 anni, poi continuativamente dal 2000), ed ha "amici" sparsi in tutti e due i continenti (e non solo): su questo disco ci sono duetti con Natalia Lafourcade, Jorge Drexler, David Byrne, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Rubén Rada, e naturalmente, ben due con la figlia maggiore Wiranda Johansen, anche lei musicista e cantante non più alle prime armi. Al solito, un disco ovviamente venato di ritmi latini virati in chiave moderna, e il costante tentativo di mischiare tante cose, con grande classe, e una voce meravigliosa sui toni bassi. Diverso da Residente, più low profile e meno aggressivo, un altra dimostrazione che America vuol dire molto di più di USA.

Let's say it's the tenth album for Kevin Andrew Johansen, born in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA, including live records (a couple), which he sings indiscriminately in English and Castilian (with undeniable Argentine accent, after all his mother is, and in Buenos Aires he lived first intermittently from the age of 12, then continuously since 2000), and has "friends" spread over both continents (and beyond): on this record there are duets with Natalia Lafourcade, Jorge Drexler, David Byrne, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Rubén Rada, and of course, two with their eldest daughter Wiranda Johansen, also a musician and singer who is no longer a novice. As usual, a record obviously tinged with Latin rhythms with a modern twist, and the constant attempt to mix many things, with great class, and a wonderful voice in the low tones. Different from Residente, more low profile and less aggressive, another demonstration that America means much more than USA.
