Fierce Bliss - Ann Wilson (2022)
Partiamo dal presupposto che Ann Wilson ha oggi la veneranda età di 71 anni. Questo è il suo terzo disco solista, e stavolta, dopo due dischi di cover, non abbandona il vizietto (ce ne sono quattro su undici, se non ho sbagliato), ma torna a comporre canzoni originali. Arricchito decisamente dalle chitarre di Warren Haynes dei Gov’t Mule e di Kenny Wayne Shepherd, oltre a una band di tutto rispetto e ad un'ospitata vocale di livello (Vince Gill), il disco soddisfa chi ama l'hard rock classico degli anni '70, venato di blues, e c'è da dire che la voce è sempre impressionante.
We assume that Ann Wilson is now the ripe old age of 71. This is her third solo album, and this time, after two albums of covers, she doesn't give up on the vice (there are four covers out of eleven, if I'm not wrong), but she goes back to composing original songs. Definitely enriched by the guitars of Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, as well as a well-respected band and a vocal guest of a certain level (Vince Gill), the disc satisfies those who love classic hard rock of the years '70, tinged with blues, and it must be said that the voice is always impressive.
