Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir is the new sensation of jazz-leaning auteur pop. A 26-year-old from Reykjavik, Iceland, her father is an Icelandic financial executive and her mother is a Chinese classical violinist. She has a twin sister (a violinist who acts as creative director for her twin's career). At 15, she's the solo cellist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. This is her third album, and the genre is simple jazzy pop, with a voice as soft as a cotton ball.
