Detta così, potrebbe sembrare la solita vecchia storia, ma stiamo parlando di una band che, in pratica, ha inventato un paio di sottogeneri (così, a spanne, il grunge e lo sludge), quindi, sono della partita anche Ni Maîtres e Void Manes, due musicisti sperimentali (elettronica soprattutto). Il risultato? Geniale.
This is the twenty-eighth album for the historic band from Montesano, Washington (USA), and the third for their "sub-brand" Melvins 1983, which features the work of two of the original members (Osborne and Dillard). Put like that, it might seem like the same old story, but we're talking about a band that essentially invented a couple of subgenres (roughly speaking, grunge and sludge), so Ni Maîtres and Void Manes, two experimental musicians (primarily electronic), are also involved. The result? Brilliant.
