The Hives Forever Forever the Hives - The Hives (2025)
Niente di nuovo sul fronte svedese (quello dei The Hives), se non che sono diventati talmente famosi, che questo nuovo album (il loro settimo) in studio è stato prodotto dal loro collaboratore usuale e di lunga data Pelle Gunnerfeldt, ma insieme, nientemeno che a Mike D. dei Beastie Boys, e Josh Homme, frontman dei Queens of the Stone Age, ha contribuito all'album in veste di consulente. Nonostante questo, solito album energico e divertente, 11 tracce più due riempitivi, poco più di mezz'ora di durata, qualche brano indimenticabile e il resto nella norma.
Nothing new on the Swedish front (that of The Hives), except that they've become so famous that this new studio album (their seventh) was produced by their usual and longtime collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt, along with none other than Mike D. of the Beastie Boys, and Josh Homme, frontman of Queens of the Stone Age, contributed to the album as a consultant. Despite this, it's the usual energetic and fun album, 11 tracks plus two fillers, a little over half an hour in length, a few unforgettable songs and the rest of it being average.
