Quinto disco in studio per il rock rapper nato a Houston ma cresciuto in giro per il mondo, per poi fermarsi a Cleveland, Ohio. Con tutta la simpatia verso il giovanotto ormai 30enne, sia per essersi fidanzato con Megan Fox (durante la pandemia!) e per averci regalato una pirotecnica interpretazione di Tommy Lee in The Dirt, questo disco, che segna il suo passaggio, non sappiamo se passeggero o definitivo, al punk pop, album che nasce supportato nella composizione e nella produzione dall'amico Travis Barker (Blink-182), che oltre a questo (come se fosse poco) suona pure (ovviamente) la batteria (su tutti le tracce), tastiere, piano, chitarra, synth, basso, programmazione su alcune tracce, e che vede ospiti Halsey, Trippie Redd, Blackbear, Iann Dior (e Yungblud, Bert McCracken, Pvris sulle tracce dell'edizione deluxe), sembra una selezione di inediti (appunto) dei Blink-182, più in forma del solito e vogliosi di sperimentare, ma esageratamente ripetitivo. Si capisce che il ragazzo ha ben chiari tutti i ganci per scrivere canzoni d'effetto, ma non mi pare così ispirato come compositore.

Of course, the boy clearly has all the hooks to write effective songs, but he doesn't seem so inspired as a composer.
