Let the Bad Times Roll - The Offspring (2021)
Sarà anche una band vecchia di 37 anni, saranno anche ripetitivi, ma vi dirò, a me quelle chitarre taglienti, quei cori e quelle armonie sempre indovinate, quelle melodie così accattivanti, quell'attitudine hardcore punk smussata e mescolata con una miriade di influenze, che a volte li fa somigliare ai Foo Fighters, altre, vedi la versione solo piano e voce del loro vecchio cavallo di battaglia Gone Away, perfino ai Puddle of Mudd, e per il resto, quel marchio di fabbrica che ricorda pure i Bad Religion, ma comunque li fa essere sempre riconoscibili, piace. Magari non rimarrà nella storia, ma ogni tanto ci vuole.
It may be a 37-year-old band, it may be repetitive, but I will tell you, to me those edgy guitars, those choruses and harmonies always guessed, those so captivating melodies, that blunt hardcore punk attitude mixed with a myriad of influences, which sometimes makes them look like Foo Fighters, at other times, see the piano and voice version of their old hit Gone Away, even Puddle of Mudd, and for the rest, that trademark that also reminds Bad Religion, but in any case it makes them always recognizable, I can tell you, I like it. Maybe he won't go down in history, but every now and then it is a good listening.
