E' un vizietto che ha, lo zio Neil (ed ha pure un nome e una pagina Wikipedia, The Neil Young Archives), e che magari ha dato lo spunto anche ai nipotini Pearl Jam, ma a lui lo perdoniamo. Questo live del 13 novembre 1990, registrazione del concerto al The Catalyst di Santa Cruz, California, corredato anche da un DVD, è la testimonianza del "riscaldamento" della band per il tour di Ragged Glory. Su Neil Young non c'è da aggiungere molto, se non che naturalmente aveva trent'anni di meno, con tutto quel che ne consegue, ai tempi della registrazione (ma avendolo visto un paio di volte molto dopo il 1990, bisogna ammettere che fa ancora il suo dovere), e c'è da sottolineare che ascoltare cose come questa, conoscendo abbastanza bene il suo lavoro, è di per sé ridondante, eppur piacevole. Disco di due ore e 24 minuti, 19 tracce, con molti cavalli di battaglia, in ottime versioni.

This live dated November 13, 1990, recording of the concert at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, California, also accompanied by a DVD, is the testimony of the "warm-up" of the band for the Ragged Glory tour. There is not much to add about Neil Young, except that of course he was thirty years younger, with all that that entails, at the time of the recording (but having seen him a couple of times long after 1990, it must be admitted that he does still his duty), and it must be emphasized that listening to things like this, knowing his work well enough, is in itself redundant, yet pleasant. Two hour and 24 minute disc, 19 tracks, with many signature songs, in excellent versions.
