Nonostante alcuni episodi davvero spiazzanti e forse troppo deboli per palati forti, ma ugualmente piacevoli se inseriti in un contesto pop, il debutto solista di Greg Puciato, che abbiamo imparato a conoscere ed apprezzare con i Dillinger Escape Plan, poi con The Black Queen e Killer Be Killed, non è sorprendente per chi lo ha seguito nelle sue esperienze musicali, ma è decisamente un disco interessante proprio per la sua eclettica varietà. Da sottolineare che Puciato suona tutti gli strumenti ad eccezione della batteria, per la quale è stato aiutato da Chris Hornbrook (Poison the Well), Chris Pennie (Coheed and Cambria, The Dillinger Escape Plan) e Ben Koller (Converge, Mutoid Man, Killer Be Killed). Il disco riflette in pieno quello che pensavo di lui: un background che spazia dal pop al metal estremo, flirtando con l'elettronica. Le capacità compositive sono, a mio modesto giudizio, ancora da affinare: l'abbondanza del disco, 15 tracce per oltre un'ora di musica, riflettono la voglia di mettersi in gioco totalmente, ma in futuro, una selezione maggiore potrà essergli utile. La classe ed il gusto ci sono, le capacità anche.

Despite some really unsettling episodes and perhaps too weak for strong palates, but equally pleasant if placed in a pop context, Greg Puciato's solo debut, which we learned to know and appreciate with The Dillinger Escape Plan, then with The Black Queen and Killer Be Killed, is not surprising for those who have followed him in his musical experiences, but it is definitely an interesting record because of its eclectic variety. It should be noted that Puciato plays all instruments except drums, for which he was helped by Chris Hornbrook (Poison the Well), Chris Pennie (Coheed and Cambria, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Ben Koller (Converge, Mutoid Man, Killer Be Killed). The record fully reflects what I thought of him: a background that ranges from pop to extreme metal, flirting with electronics. The compositional skills are, in my humble opinion, still to be refined: the abundance of the album, 15 tracks for over an hour of music, reflect the desire to get involved completely, but in the future, a greater selection may be useful. The class and the taste are there, the skills too.
