Power Up - AC/DC (2020)

Sono diciassette, con questo nuovo Power Up, gli album in studio per la rediviva (per l'ennesima volta), possiamo definirla così, band australiana, che riunisce la formazione del disco precedente, ed arriva a sei anni di distanza dal precedente Rock or Bust (2014), dopo qualche vicissitudine da parte dei componenti, e qualche pagliacciata. Importante sottolineare che l'età dei componenti attuali della band va dai 63 (Stevie Young, chitarra rimitca) ai 73 (Brian Johnson, voce) anni. Detto questo, poco altro da aggiungere: se mettete su questo album, ad un volume discretamente alto, vi verrà implicitamente ricordato (scrivo questo conscio del fatto che molto spesso preferisco esattamente l'opposto) che per fare musica non è necessario, a volte, inventare qualcosa o miscelare generi differenti e distanti tra di loro, ma solo saper suonare, possedere una capacità di songwriting media ma avere un certo gusto, amare il blues, alzare il volume, e metterci tanta passione. Il risultato, anche in questo caso, è un disco dignitoso, che ci fa augurare a tutti e cinque i membri degli AC/DC, di vivere ancora e di riuscire a farne ancora qualcuno. Vi vogliamo bene.

There are seventeen, with this new Power Up, the studio albums for the revived (for the umpteenth time), we can define them like this, Australian band, which brings together the line-up of the previous album, and arrives six years after the previous Rock or Bust (2014), after some vicissitudes on the part of the members, and some antics. It is important to note that the age of the current members of the band ranges from 63 (Stevie Young, rimitca guitar) to 73 (Brian Johnson, vocals). Having said that, little else to add: if you put on this album, at a fairly high volume, you will be implicitly reminded (I write this conscious of the fact that very often I prefer exactly the opposite) that to make music it is not necessary, sometimes, invent something or mix different and distant genres, but only knowing how to play, possess an average songwriting ability but have a certain taste, love the blues, turn up the volume, and put a lot of passion into it. The result, also in this case, is a decent record, which makes us wish all five members of AC / DC, to live again and to be able to make some more. We love you guys.
