Fottendosene del fatto che io avessi dimenticato che esistevano (solo l'amico Monty ogni tanto me lo ricordava), i Warrior Soul, o meglio, Kory Clarke e la sua creatura, si sono dapprima riformati nel 2000, e poi, dal 2007 in avanti, hanno ripreso più o meno regolarmente, a far uscire dischi. A questo giro mi sono deciso ad ascoltare il lavoro appena uscito. L'impressione è a metà tra la nostalgia e il sostegno ad un vecchio ma sempre valido rocker. Ricordo che a suo tempo, i Warrior Soul mi sembravano dei Jane's Addiction più quadrati. Adesso possiamo definirli semplicemente hard rock, con un cantante che a tratti denota un po' di fatica, ma con un timbro sempre accattivante.
Not giving a damn about the fact that I had forgotten that they existed (only my friend Monty occasionally reminded me of it), the Warrior Soul, or rather, Kory Clarke and his creature, first reformed in 2000, and then, from 2007 onwards, have resumed more or less regularly to release records. This time around I decided to listen to the work that has just come out. The impression is halfway between nostalgia and support for an old but always good rocker. I remember that in its time, Warrior Soul seemed to me to be more squared Jane's Addiction. Now we can define them simply as hard rock, with a singer who at times denotes a bit of effort, but with a timbre that is always captivating.
