Requiem - Korn (2022)

I Korn arrivano al quattordicesimo album, con questo Requiem, "figlio" del COVID19. Un disco (molto breve, 32 minuti e spiccioli, per nove tracce) che continua sulla strada che avevamo già intuito con il precedente The Nothing: suoni attualizzati, stesso marchio di fabbrica, un poco di melodia quasi pop in più. La capacità di scrivere buone canzoni c'è ancora, siamo lontani dalla grandeur di un tempo, ma non sono ancora totalmente da buttare via. I tempi, però, cambiano, e i nostri ascolti preferiti sono altri.

Korn arrive at the fourteenth album, with this Requiem, "son" of COVID19. A disc (very short, 32 minutes and something, for nine tracks) that continues on the path we had already guessed with the previous The Nothing: updated sounds, the same trademark, a little more almost pop melody. The ability to write good songs is still there, we are far from the grandeur of the past, but they are not yet totally to be thrown away. Times, however, change, and our favorite are others.
