Non tenendo conto di Symphonized, disco live con la Residentie Orkest di The Hague (L'Aia), questo è il terzo disco solista per la cantante olandese, come alcuni di voi sapranno, già protagonista con altre band (Agua de Annique, The Gathering, Vuur) e di innumerevoli partecipazioni (Danny Cavanagh, Árstíðir, Martijn Bosman, Farmer Boys, Ayreon, Lawn, Wetton/Downes, Globus, Napalm Death, Moonspell, Within Temptation, Giant Squid, Devin Townsend, Shane Shu, Maiden UniteD, November's Doom, Anathema, Lorrainville, DJ Hidden, Cellarscape, Countermove, The Gentle Storm, Amadeus Awad, Amorphis, Scarlean). E' il risultato di un "ritiro" che ha voluto affrontare dopo il suo recente divorzio, e le tracce sono tutte frutto della sua scrittura, una sorta di folk barocco, e abbastanza prevedibile, ma estremamente ben fatto.
Not taking into account Symphonized, live album with Residentie Orkest of The Hague, this is the third solo album for the Dutch singer, as some of you know, already starring with other bands (Agua de Annique, The Gathering , Vuur) and countless participations (Danny Cavanagh, Árstíðir, Martijn Bosman, Farmer Boys, Ayreon, Lawn, Wetton/Downes, Globus, Napalm Death, Moonspell, Within Temptation, Giant Squid, Devin Townsend, Shane Shu, Maiden UniteD, November's Doom, Anathema, Lorrainville, DJ Hidden, Cellarscape, Countermove, The Gentle Storm, Amadeus Awad, Amorphis, Scarlean). It is the result of a "retreat" that she wanted to go through after her recent divorce, and all the tracks are all the result of her songwriting, a kind of baroque folk, and quite predictable, but extremely well done.
