Abrakadabra - Hardcore Superstar (2022)

Non credevo, ma l'ultima volta che vi ho parlato degli svedesi Hardcore Superstar risale a 12 anni fa, in occasione del loro Split Your Lip. Tralasciamo le riflessioni filosofiche che ne potrebbero derivare, e prendiamo atto del fatto che nel frattempo, hanno pubblicato C'mon Take on Me (2013), HCSS (2015), e You Can't Kill My Rock 'N' Roll (2018). Questo Abrakadabra rappresenta il loro dodicesimo album, e c'è da dire che nonostante non ci siano tracce che ti rapiscono (anche se Fighter colpisce non poco, nella sua prevedibilità), il disco suona compatto e convincente, nell'ambito del glam/street metal, molto più di quelli di band tipo gli L.A. Guns (evidentemente distratti dalle faide interne), dimostrando che si può rimanere fedeli ad un genere per 25 anni e risultare quantomeno onesti.

I didn't think so, but the last time I told you about the Swedish Hardcore Superstar was 12 years ago, on the occasion of their Split Your Lip. Let's leave aside the philosophical reflections that could derive from it, and take note of the fact that in the meantime, they have released C'mon Take on Me (2013), HCSS (2015), and You Can't Kill My Rock 'N' Roll (2018). This Abrakadabra represents their twelfth album, and it must be said that although there are no tracks that kidnap you (even if Fighter hits a lot, in its predictability), the album sounds compact and convincing, in the context of glam / street metal, much more than those of bands like L.A. Guns (evidently distracted by internal feuds), proving that one can remain faithful to a genre for 25 years and be at least honest.
