Blood - Juliana Hatfield (2021)

Let's put it this way: if I had a tenth of the musical experience of Juliana Hatfield, born in Wiscasset, Maine, but raised in Duxbury, Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston), I could say I did something. This Blood is her nineteenth record, not counting the live, and her records with Blake Babies, Some Girls, Minor Alps, The I Don't Cares, The Lemonheads. American (from US) to the core, her music is a cross between more pop americana and a certain kind of sunny indie rock, although her lyrics certainly aren't. Blood is yet another proof that she can write songs, and it makes me think of an intellectual version of Sheryl Crow.
